Drouhin Chablis Vaudon
Descrição

Joseph Drouhin Chablis is an organic white wine aged on lees and produced by Joseph Drouhin with the Chardonnay variety in the AOC Chablis appellation, in Burgundy (France).

Founded in 1880 by Joseph Drouhin in Beaune, this winery has acquired terroirs, primarily from Premiers and Grands Crus, generation after generation. In the 1970s, Robert Drouhin recognized the potential of vineyards abandoned due to phylloxera in Chablis and expanded his property with the aim of revitalizing the area up to the Moulin de Vaudon, an 18th-century mill located in this area. This commitment remains to this day, with the winery producing wines that authentically showcase the subtle nuances of each plot.

Joseph Drouhin Chablis comes from a nearly 7-acre estate with Kimmeridgian limestone soils. This terroir contains millions of tiny embedded marine fossils dating back hundreds of millions of years. The vines have an average age of 30 years and are cultivated according to organic principles, without the use of systematic chemicals that could harm the environment. When the grapes selected to make Joseph Drouhin Chablis arrive at the winery, they are gently pressed, and the resulting must ferments in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. It spends 7 to 8 months on the lees before bottling. A pioneering winery in the defense of Chablis vineyards, Joseph Drouhin Chablis speaks for itself. A dry, energetic wine with extraordinary delicacy.
