| Side Dishes | An excellent choice as an aperitif, this wine is also a good option to accompany everyday meals and light dishes (soups, salads, etc.). We especially recommend serving Duas Quintas Vinho Tinto 2022 with Portuguese Feijoada or grilled/roasted meats. It is ideal at the end of a meal, served with hard cheeses. |
Clear and brilliant, it presents an intense dark garnet color with red reflections. The aroma is fresh and penetrating, dominated by floral notes and plow tail, later replaced by aromas of ripe fruit, plums and figs with slight nuances of dark chocolate. On the palate, the wine is dense and fresh, with silky tannins that leave a good finish, with notes of red fruits such as cherries.
Winemaking:
The grapes are hand-harvested in 150-kilogram boxes, crushed and destemmed, then fermented in stainless steel vats where the temperature never exceeds 25 degrees Celsius. The grapes macerated for the necessary time to obtain a wine with the desired body and structure. After malolactic fermentation in vats, 25% of the wine aged in French oak barrels for 12 months and the remainder aged in stainless steel vats. The wine was bottled 18 months later.
