Description
Description
This wine is born in 2001 in order to challenge the classic profile of Alentejo's great wines. The semillon caste has been adapting with great success over the years to the unique place where it has been planted. The maturity of the vineyard, coupled with its exposure and type of soil, have been revealing a raw material with a high oenological potential, giving rise to this wine. Abel Mota's label.
Vinification / Internship
The grapes reach the cellar in the morning, when the temperature is lower, and are placed in the pneumatic press. Pressing cycles are long to low pressures, allowing gentle and cared for extractions. The decantation of the resulting must is shorter than usual, which contributes to the body and complexity of wine. The fermentation takes place in 500 liters barrels of French oak, in a controlled temperature of 18ºC.
About 6 months in French oak barrels, on the fermentation droops and accompanied by a process of bâtonageperiodic. This manual process contributes to the stabilization of wine, also increasing its creaminess and depth. After traffic jam 6 months, in our cellars, promoting the characteristic complexity of this wine.
COLOR: Crystalline look, straw color with greenish strings.
AROMA: Maduro Alperce and Lemon, accompanied by notes of white pepper and some fresh almond.
Taste: Rich and exuberant, highlighted in white pulp fruit and a nutmeg nuance. Long and elegant ending.
