Originating from the Baga grape variety, cultivated in century-old vines planted in poor, stony soils, Giz is a wine full of elegance and complexity, aged for 20 months in French oak barrels.
The delicate and well-defined aroma presents very evident ripe red fruits, accompanied by floral notes, cedar, vanilla, coffee, licorice, and forest floor. On the palate, it is elegant, with great minerality and freshness, reflecting the calcareous soils of its origin. It is a deep, structured, and complex wine, with a long and persistent finish.
Originating in Bairrada, between the foothills of the Buçaco mountain range and the sea, Giz is a wine that uniquely expresses the characteristics of the limestone soils from which it comes.
Originating from century-old vines and produced from native grape varieties planted in poor, stony soils, intervention in the production process is minimal, both in the vineyard and in the winery.
Thus, after artisanal winemaking, the wine rests for 8 months in French oak barrels, to obtain a nectar without masks, authentic, structured, elegant and complex, full of individuality and character.
