Grande Vadio Baga Red

Vadio, located in the village of Poutena, in the Bairrada region, is a small, family-run project founded in 2005 by Luís Patrão. Dedicated to the recovery of traditional grape varieties and the production of authentic DOC Bairrada wines, Vadio owns 13 vineyards along the Vale D. Pedro, totaling 10 hectares divided into 27 distinct plots. With a simple winery, the wines follow a classic style that respects the authenticity of the region and the character of the local grape varieties.

Located on the central coast of Portugal, Bairrada is known for its rolling hills, valleys, clay-limestone soils, and an Atlantic climate that favors the production of unique wines. The region, with 7,000 hectares of vineyards, is famous for its red wines made from the Baga grape variety, which have great aging potential, for the freshness of its white wines, and for the character of its sparkling wines.
