Dez Tostões red wine is full of personality, with an intense and deep ruby color. On the nose, it reveals a warm and captivating aroma, highlighting notes of black forest fruits, enveloped by a subtle touch of spices. On the palate, it is rich and full-bodied, with well-present tannins that give it structure and character.
A red wine from the Alentejo region that perfectly combines the elegance of Touriga Nacional, the depth of Alicante Bouschet, and the versatility of Aragonês, resulting in a balanced and captivating wine.
Herdade da Maroteira is located at the foot of the Serra D'Ossa mountain range and extends over 540 hectares. It has belonged to the same Anglo-Portuguese family for five generations, since the mid-19th century. At that time, Robert Reynolds invested in the Alentejo cork oak forest to meet the needs of the Port wine industry in northern Portugal, and for about 150 years, the estate's production focused on cork and livestock. Only in 2000 did Philip Mollet, the current owner and manager of the estate, revolutionize the farm's strategy and plant vines. Since then, the estate has produced excellent Alentejo wines based on its preferred grape variety, Syrah.
The vineyard is spread across 15 hectares planted in clay-limestone soils, giving the wines the genuine character of the Alentejo region.
