Herdade do Freixo Reserva Red

Deep ruby ​​in color. Its aroma reveals earthy notes and fresh red fruits, with breadth. On the palate, notes of freshly picked wild berries predominate, complexed with notes of pepper and spices. We are surprised by its density, freshness and refined tannins. A complex profile, with a silky and elegant finish.

It is a blended wine from Herdade do Freixo, which combines the robustness of international grape varieties with the elegance of Touriga Nacional, resulting in a complex and fresh wine from the Alentejo region.

The grapes of the different selected varieties are harvested according to their ideal state of ripeness, in 20 kg boxes and immediately vinified. They are destemmed and transported by gravity to the truncated conical fermentation tanks. After skin maceration for extraction, the fermentation of the different varieties takes place separately, at moderate temperatures for about 10 days. Aging for 12 months in new oak barrels gives it remarkable complexity and elegance. The blend is finalized after aging in wood. Bottle aging lasts for a minimum of 12 months.
