A still wine with almost the alcohol content of a fortified wine, the grapes were almost perfectly ripe; we kept them until mid-October, and when we harvested them, they were raisins, completely dehydrated. A wine with balance, volume, intensity, and surprisingly, the alcohol is not noticeable. On the palate, it is full-bodied, rich, and has a good tannic finish.
Always linked to the Douro region, the Sá family began their winemaking journey by selling quality grapes from their vineyards in Soutelo do Douro.
Over time, and always focusing on quality, the properties expanded, never forgetting the roots that made the business prosper, and they also began producing their own wine.
In 2019, Sa'Vinum was born from the desire of the youngest member of the family, João de Sá, to continue the business left by his father and from his passion for the Douro region.
Today, the brand has several properties, different types of wine, and a new winery.
