Owner of prestigious vineyards, Casa Louis Jadot perpetuates a knowledge transmitted from generation to generation, offering lovers the best of Burgundy.

The Vineyard
The 1er cru "Morgeot" is a Chassagne Montrachet Wine from a vineyard of just under 0.5 there is situated in the southern part of Beaune's core. East and southeast oriented, this exceptional terroir rests on a stamping soil.
The crop
The smooth and dry winter delays the vine cycle. After late sprout, the vine grows vigorously in May. Flowering is early with beautiful curls. Some storms in July attenuate the lack of water, and maturation begins. August sees a wave of heat followed by beneficial rains. The harvest begins in early September under heavy heat. White wines show a beautiful acidity, the red wines are dense with ripe tannins. The crop presents a good balance and promises a long guard, with wines of clear and pure aromas.
Winemaking and aging
Manually harvested, the grapes are gently pressed before a barrel fermentation (of which 1/3 new) from the property's tannooria. Aging of about 15 months at thin -lengths.
