The Lua Cheia em Vinhas Velhas project is the result of the passionate connection that its three founders, João Silva e Sousa, Francisco Baptista, and Manuel Dias, have maintained with the Douro region for over two decades. After so many years of being amazed by this unique wine region, in 2009 the time came to show how they viewed Douro wines. The company's history begins that year, with white wines from Murça, an area forgotten by progress but which produces unique wines full of character. In 2010, an investment began in a winery in Martim, Douro, and in 2012, in the birthplace of Alvarinho, Monção. In 2013, a partnership was also initiated in the Alentejo, vinifying selected grapes acquired in the Estremoz region in third-party facilities.

It has a pale citrus color. The aroma has excellent aromatic intensity, dominated by minerality. On the palate, it has excellent volume, freshness, balance, and persistence.

Winemaking:
Destemming and crushing; 12 hours of pre-fermentation maceration, cold static clarification for 48 hours, use of selected yeasts.
