Description

The Lua Cheia em Vinhas Velhas project results from the passionate connection that its 3 founders, João Silva e Sousa, Francisco Baptista and Manuel Dias, have maintained with the Douro for over two decades. After so many years of being surprised by this unique wine-growing region, in 2009 it was time to show how they saw Douro wines. The company's history begins that year, with white wines from Murça, an area forgotten by progress, but which produces unique wines full of identity. In 2010, investment began in the winery in Martim, Douro, and, in 2012, in the birthplace of Alvarinho, Monção. In 2013, a partnership was also started in Alentejo, with grapes chosen and acquired in the Estremoz region being vinified in third-party facilities.

It has a pale citrine color. Aroma with excellent aromatic intensity, dominated by minerality. In the mouth it has an excellent volume, freshness, balance and persistence.

Vinification:
destemming and crushing; 12 hours of pre-fermentation maceration, static cold clarification for 48 hours, use of selected yeasts.
