Sweet and delicate nose with plum sauce, raisins, notes of exotic wood, wood tar and sweet tobacco. Relatively delicate nose, quite intense, slightly sweet, then dry, with some tannin and exotic wood grit, good freshness. Long, with plum, raisins, exotic wood, notes of tobacco, slight volatile acidity.
Winemaking:
Colheita is a single-vintage Port, aged in oak barrels for at least seven years and bottled to order. Maynard's Colheitas has been carefully selected and matured in seasoned oak barrels to produce a rich smoothness with the finest balance and elegance of old tawnies.
