Maynard's Vintage 2018

It represents the classic Vintage style with a deep ruby ​​color and intense garnet hues, presenting aromas of red plum and fig compote, combined with dark chocolate and a touch of spice. On the palate it is silky, dense, with a well-structured body, rich and complex tannins and a fruity and harmonious finish.

Winemaking:
The grapes, at their ideal ripeness, are harvested manually and stored in a cold chamber for 12 hours to preserve their characteristics. This is followed by partial destemming and crushing in a lagar (traditional stone trough), where intense maceration occurs before and during alcoholic fermentation, with pumping over to enhance skin extraction. Grape brandy is added to the fermentation when the desired sugar content is reached, resulting in a fortified wine. This Port wine is aged in oak vats. This wine has not undergone any stabilization process, so a natural sediment may form in the bottle.
