Description
Casca Wines is a project by oenologists and wine experts who, without vineyards or a winery, decided to create a brand of high-quality Portuguese wines. A project that uses only the best grapes from each region and seeks to revive Portugal's unique traditions.
The Monte Cascas brand reflects the character of its winegrowers: passionate, dedicated, unique! This Single Vineyard from Bairrada features a century-old vineyard - Vinha das Cardosas - in a blend based mainly on the Baga grape variety.
It aged for 24 months in French oak barrels.
On the nose, it is very rich with notes of bergamot, blueberries, forest, and spices. The palate is complex with notes of pencil shavings and balsamic in a firm and very elegant structure.
