The first crop of Mount Velho dates from 1991 and first arrived in the market in 1992, at the time with a 200 shield shelf cost. Inspired by the firstborn spur will reserve, Mount Velho revolutionized the consumption of daily wine, bringing to the table a quality wine at an affordable price. After 30 years, the route of this brand is marked by a significant evolution. In 2020, in more than 50 countries, 7 million and 400,000 bottles of Monte Velho were sold and, since 2013, that this Alentejo regional has been produced entirely in integrated production mode.
The history of Monte Velho is closely linked to the territory that gives rise to it, so it is a markedly Alentejo wine for its diversity of castes and profile. The wines are the responsibility of the team led by Sandra Alves, resulting from the combination of nature and the wine tradition, combined with the experience and innovation that characterize the spur.
