INTRODUCTION: A unique and distinctive White Port, made for the first time by Niepoort due to the exceptional quality of some batches of old White Port wine. With a classic style and a long aging of oxidative character and good extract due to the long maceration of the skins.
VINIFICATION: The white grapes undergo a long maceration with skins and are trodden by foot. After the addition of brandy, the White Port spends a year in large oak vats, followed by aging in traditional oak barrels for a period of time that varies between 7 and 15 years. Before bottling, a selection of the best White Ports was made and the resulting wines blended. This operation resulted in this 10 Years Old White Port!
TASTING NOTES: With a golden color, it shows a complex aroma of dried fruits, where orange peel and dried figs stand out, as well as walnuts and toasted almonds. A floral touch completes the nose. In the mouth it is very fine and balanced, with a vibrant acidity balancing its sweet character, interacting perfectly with the brandy and giving the wine a superb structure.
