Deep brown color with a brown halo and a greenish hue - very characteristic of old Tawny Port wines. On the nose, a wine from another era, but very lively with a fabulous concentration of coffee and liqueur that reveals itself on the palate with a great spirited finish.

Winemaking:
Tawny ports with an age indication such as "20 years" are blended from different wines with an average age of 20 years. Prolonged aging in small wooden casks gives them their characteristic tawny color. The main characteristics of an aged tawny are the complexity of aromas, freshness, and a persistent and refined bouquet. After dinner, aged tawny pairs well with cheeses and especially chocolate-based desserts. It can also be enjoyed as an aperitif, served at room temperature or slightly chilled. Niepoort produces 10, 20, and 30-year-old tawny ports. The skillful aging and blending of the different tawny ports is the art of Master Blender José Nogueira. Winemaking: The tawnies are aged in small old oak casks (550 l) in the cellars of Vila Nova de Gaia for several years. The balanced marriage of different characteristics and ages is the art of Niepoort's Master Blender, José Nogueira.
