Niepoort Charme Red

Charm 2018 displays a brilliant light aspect, with very delicate aromas of cherry and raspberry, along with elegant earthy notes of the forest soil and suggestions of tea leaves. In the mouth it is refined and intense, with magnificent freshness and an extremely elegant structure with velvety tannins. With only 10% new oak in the final lot, the subtle structure conferred by Madeira is perfectly integrated with the freshness promoted by fruit and acidity.

Vinification: After a brief period of maceration, alcoholic and malolactic fermentations ended in French oak barrels, in which wine interned for 15 months before traffic jam.

TEST NOTES: The color is open, clear grená and full of liveliness. In appearance it is probably the most similar to a pinot noir of the Burgundy. In the nose reveals the complexity of the old castes and vineyards that give rise to it. It starts with very delicate floral notes, evolves to red fruits more in the spirons of currants and cherries. Wood is extremely discreet, but complemented by balsamic or a mental notes that makes it very sophisticated. In the mouth is the maximum expression of elegance, precision, with a delicate structure and excellent acidity. It ends long, persistent, spicy and fresh.
