The rainy winter, the dry spring during bud break, and the hot summer provided the ideal conditions for this "world class wine". The nose is marked by notes of black cherry and tobacco, a slight smoky character, spices and herbs. The structure is the definition of elegance. On the palate it is fresh, round, with a dry, spicy, long and persistent finish.
Winemaking:
The harvest began in the first week of September. The winemaking philosophy for this single plot was to convey the elegance and delicacy of the vine in the wine, and thus the winemaking operations were always minimalist, using only whole bunches with light foot treading in traditional stone lagares and a brief maceration period before completing alcoholic fermentation. Malolactic fermentation took place in French oak barrels, in which the wine aged for 15 months before bottling.
