Niepoort Ruby Dum

INTRODUCTION: Inspired by the famous Tweedle twins from Alice in Wonderland, Ruby Dum is the result of blending wines from low-yielding vineyards located in the Cima Corgo area, in the Douro Valley. The wines age in large wooden tanks, for about 3 years in the cellars in Gaia, before being bottled. Deep and dense red in color. Vibrant and fresh aroma, with notes of ripe fruit, balanced, with good structure and easy to drink. Ruby Dum goes well with chocolate-based desserts, especially dark chocolate or soft cheeses. Tawny Dee ages for an average of 3 and a half years in small Port Wine barrels in our cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia, before being bottled, discreetly showing its dried fruit aroma. This elegance is reinforced by the years of experience of our Master Blender, José Nogueira. A complex Port wine with a golden brick color and aroma of nuts and dried fruit. In the mouth it is balanced, with young fruit and a sweet character, well integrated in a long and pleasant finish. Tawny Dee goes well with nut-based desserts, fruit tarts or crème brulee.

TEST RESULTS:

Deep and dense red in color. Vibrant and fresh aroma, with notes of ripe fruit, which continue on the palate along with an almost mineral character, young, balanced, with good structure and easy to drink. It is a wine that is ready to drink right away, at the end of a meal, on its own or with soft cheeses.
