Vinification

The vitican year of 2019 was characterized by a dry climate. Spring began with high temperatures, which were decreasing and remained low throughout the summer. There was some precipitation, which occurred at the right time of the development of the plant and the flowering took place in excellent climacteric conditions, originating an average production high, with grapes quite healthy. The mild days and the fresh nights of August originated slow and balanced maturation. The vintage began on August 8th. The vintage peak took place in the week from September 8 to 15, ending on October 1st. The grapes, with 100% engagement, were deposited in stainless steel with automatic gossip, in a process with short maceration. After this phase, the wine began its malo -fermentation in old wooden toneals, remaining in internship for about 22 months.

Test notes The red redoma 2019 reflects all elegance, structure and acidity that only a region with the amplitude of the Douro can express. The color is ruby, concentrated and when stirring in the glass appear violet. The nose is delicate, with floral notes, red fruits such as cherry, mentional nuances and a smoke that gives it complexity and character. In the mouth it has volume, is round and spicy, accurate and extremely balanced. It ends long and with an acidity that persists and gives it longevity.
