Harvest/Winemaking : From the best plots of Quinta da Carregosa, the grapes were hand-picked in the plots that presented the most balanced ripening. The grapes are crushed and completely destemmed. This is followed by a period of 24 hours of pre-fermentation Maceration at 30ºC to maximize the performance of the grape enzymes responsible for extracting color and aromas. Selected yeasts are used to induce alcoholic fermentation, which takes place between 22ºC and 24ºC for a minimum of 10 days. Induced malolactic fermentation with temperature control.

Maturation : Once malolactic fermentation was complete, the wine was transferred to French oak barrels where it remained for 6 months. After bottling, the wine aged in the bottle for 4 months before being sold.

Tasting note - Flavor : Lots of concentration and body, ripe tannins, excellent balance and a surprisingly long finish.
