| Side Dishes | This Port is a versatile wine that pairs very well with cheeses and a variety of desserts, including fresh fruit tarts. Served neat, chilled, or on the rocks, it's also a surprising option as an aperitif or evening drink. |
It has an attractive and well-defined red-rubi hue and a living aroma reminiscent of red fruits with some more complex notes resulting from your aging oak wood. In the mouth it has a good balance between sweetness and mature tannins, is well structured and has a long ending. Its elegance and liveliness make it the ideal option for those who like youth and accessible port wines.
Vinification:
It is produced by the traditional method of port wine. Handwater grapes are deceived and crushed before fermentation, the controlled temperature, with pelicular maceration to extract the best components. The addition of vinical alcohol at the ideal moment establishes the balance between the body and the bouquet of wine. This moment is chosen by the winemaker following rigorous control of temperatures and fermentation densities, depending on the latter of the caste, the maturation stage and the intended final sweetness. After the vintage, the wines remain in the Douro to the next spring, when they are transported to Vngaia and enter the centers of offshore to aging in oak wood, as required the traditional port wine aging system. Over the years the wines are carefully proven and analyzed by the Enoology team that also makes all the necessary corrections and prepares the final lot in order to maintain the style and character of Offley Porto Ruby. The selected wines are usually between 2 and 5 years old, allowing a fresh and young wine with an average age of 3 years. The final mixture is filtered and stabilized by cold before traffic jam.
