Side Dishes: Excellent with grilled lean meats, pasta, pizza, and ideal as an appetizer. It also pairs well with tapas, sushi, risotto, and well-seasoned fish.
Vineyard: It was located in the heart of the corgox, in the parish of Castedo do Douro, on the right bank of the Douro, with south-facing sun exposure, the vineyards were planted by monocasta floats between 1991 and 1992.
Vinification: In 12-tone stainless steel fermentation vats, all castes were vinified separately, the fermentation temperature was an average of 28ºC, the fermentation took 10 days, which followed another 5 days of post-fermentation maceration . The wines were stored in small volume vats.
Maturation: After the finished alcoholic fermentation, a new barrels followed for 18 months, after this time the wine is stabilized, followed by traffic jam and later stages of 12 months in bottle.
Test notes
Color: Closed color, almost black with beautiful violets.
Aroma: Balsamic aromas and notes to very dense black fruits, very well integrated with the tobacco and vanilla proper to the wooden internship.
Taste: In the mouth it is dense, with very present tannins and a refreshing acidity, proper to its "terroir", but with nothing overlap, in a set of a smooth density. Ends long and persistent.
