Description
Pontual Wines has 150 hectares of vineyards, located in Alandroal, subdivided by grape variety. The soils, mainly brown schist, provide ideal rooting conditions for the vines.
Pontual wines express the terroir where they are born. They stand out for their intense color, striking aromas, and concentrated and balanced flavor, using grape varieties that find favorable conditions in the Alentejo region to express their full potential.
TASTING NOTES: The aroma reveals dried fruits enveloped by subtle woody notes; on the palate, it offers a pleasant sensation of volume with a hint of vanilla, and a fresh, long finish.
VINIFICATION: Total destemming, cold settling below 10ºC, followed by alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks and barrels, at a controlled temperature between 13º and 15ºC.
Aging : In vats and oak barrels, sur lie fine, with specific batonnage.
