Description
Porca de Murça is one of the best-selling wines in Portugal. These wines are produced in the Douro Valley, where Real Companhia Velha owns large vineyards in privileged locations. In 1998, the company decided to launch a reserve wine to celebrate the brand's success and to meet the growing demand for exclusive, high-quality wines. Porca de Murça Reserva Branco is produced from native grape varieties, from selected plots in two of the company's estates: Quinta de Cidrô and Quinta do Casal da Granja, where the altitude and climate offer ideal conditions for white wine production. The selected plots combine the age of the vines with low vigor, giving the wine the texture and complexity of a Douro Reserva Branco.
Clear, bright lemon-yellow color. Floral aromas with notes of lime and white fruit. Lively acidity, leading to a youthful and refreshing finish.
Winemaking:
The grapes are crushed in a pneumatic press. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. No barrel aging. 100% of the wine is kept in stainless steel tanks for 3 months before bottling.
