Winemaking:
Trilho em Pormenor is a red wine produced from indigenous grape varieties from 80-year-old vines, mainly Touriga Franca and Tinta Barroca from the Douro region. After treading the grapes in granite stone lagares (traditional stone vats), the wine underwent a long maceration period. The wine fermented at controlled temperatures in granite tanks. The wine remained for 23 months in used French oak barrels before being stabilized and bottled.
Trilho em Pornteor can be characterized as a Douro red wine full of freshness and minerality, along with extraordinary aromas of ripe dark fruits enveloped in balsamic aromas. It is dominated by flavors of black forest fruits and austere, dense tannins, tempered by good notes of wood and very elegant acidity.
