Packed from wines from the rare aged port in old oak hulls for five decades, Taylors Golden Age is a special edition of collector launched in limited quantities. This 50-year-old Tawny comes from the sub-regions more to the Douro Valley, where some of the best Thursdays are located, traditional sources of the longest wines. Before they were crowded, the wines aged in the cellars of Taylor's in old oak hulls specially selected by the tankers of the house.
Aroma
The primary aromas are elegant, rich and very delicate. Rum and raisins, cloves, nutmeg and ground pepper notes.
Flavor
Plots, quinces and apricots dance on their palate while lemon and orange peel shaving provide a fresh acidity that balances the richness of the wine.
