Description

Taylors 20 Year Old Tawny is a magnificent and delicately crafted blend of aged tawnies, produced in limited quantities. The selected red Port wines, produced in the eastern Douro Valley, including Taylors' own estates, are aged in oak casks in Taylors' cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia. There, the cool, humid climate allows for a gentle aging process, producing aromas of great complexity and delicacy. In the 20 Year Old Tawny, the fruit becomes more velvety than in the 10 Year Old, and the spicy and dried fruit aromas, imparted by aging, are more powerful and intense.

Aroma
The primary aromas are elegant, rich, and very delicate. Notes of rum and raisins, cloves, nutmeg, and hints of ground black pepper.

Flavor
Plums, quinces, and apricots dance on your palate while lemon and orange zest provide a fresh acidity that balances the wine's richness.

Color
Brown core, coppery with a thin golden border.
