Description
The Merchant Marine Officers' Club and Lua Cheia - Saven sent 1200 bottles aboard the trawler Pascoal Atlântico to Newfoundland. They departed in the hold where, for 135 days, they savored the mysteries of the ocean.
Winemaking:
The Poseidon red wine is produced with grapes from old vines, as is characteristic of the producer. The wine aged for 12 months in French oak barrels and a further three months at sea.
Tasting Notes: Poseidon is a wine with fine, well-integrated tannins. It displays an unusual elegance acquired through its unique and surprising aging process. Dense and deep black fruit, very compact, with a note of dry wood accompanying it.
Imposing on the palate, with good structure, acidity and firm tannins, austere, silky, convincing finish.
