winemaking
The harvest is done manually, with manual selection of bunches. The berries are destemmed and gently crushed. The fermentation of the grapes takes place in new 500 liter French wooden barrels. After a period of maceration, the resulting wine continues to age for 16 months in 225 liter French oak barrels. All wines are sealed with natural cork. Not being filtered or cold stabilized, they can give rise to a precipitate with age.
Tasting Note
Possessing an enveloping ruby color, this Quinta da Boavista Vinha do Ujo welcomes you at the first glimpse. Very subtle in the first impact, it reveals itself as we let it dance in the glass. Forest notes well intertwined with fine spices, enraptured by the airy aromas of cranberries and wild fruits. Exquisite on entry, it takes over the mouth and reveals its multiple facets in a subtle and intoxicating way. A wine that leaves us suspended in an incessant sensation of infinity.
