Description
From the best plots at Quinta da Carregosa, the grapes were hand-picked in the plots that presented the most balanced ripening. The grapes are crushed and completely destemmed. This is followed by a 24-hour period of pre-fermentation maceration at 30ºC to maximize the action of the grape enzymes responsible for extracting color and aromas.
Selected yeasts are used to induce alcoholic fermentation, which takes place between 22ºC and 24ºC for a minimum of 10 days. Malolactic fermentation induced with temperature control.
COLOR: Dark ruby with violet hues.
AROMA: Intense aromas of red fruits - blackcurrant, raspberry, white spice, vanilla and cooked strawberries.
FLAVOR: Magnificent balance between red fruit, cashmere texture, vibrant structure and depth; intense, well concentrated, complex and persistent; long and precise finish.
