"Our Lote 5 wines were created as a family, coming from our vineyards, some of which are centuries old, in the Rio Torto valley, São João da Pesqueira, a unique Douro terroir, where the family has part of its origins.
Lot 5 symbolizes the union of a family of 5 members, gathered around this common life project, in which each one, in their own way, lent a little of themselves, by venturing into this Dream, Art and Love, which is making vineyards and wine.
Our wines are vinified, in the traditional way, at Quinta das Chaquedas, near Régua, where the family lives.
These wines are already recognized for their superior quality, authenticity and perfectly identified with the best that the Douro has to offer!
These are wines that will make those who drink them fall in love, just as we fell in love with making them!"
Winemaking:
Traditional walking tour, and strict temperature control. Aged for twelve months in French oak.
Test results:
Centuries-old vines. For now, the wine's aroma incorporates a strong presence of new wood, with toasted and dried fruit notes. The fruit falls to the bottom. Good volume in the mouth, lively acidity, with a satiny texture and the unctuousness favored by the barrel.
