The wines produced at Quinta do Pessegueiro are captivating for their undeniably superior quality, the result of a comprehensive and balanced project whose objective is to enhance the originality and properties of each small vineyard in the truest way possible.
Winemaking:
The harvest took place in September. The grapes were transported in 25 kg boxes to the winery. Complete alcoholic fermentation was carried out in lagares (traditional stone troughs) using traditional foot treading. After this process, the wine was placed in old barrels where malolactic fermentation would occur. Aging took place in these same barrels for 20 months until the wine was ready to be bottled.
Exam grade:
Touriga Nacional from schistous soil with plenty of orange clay. Subtle floral aromas, wild berries, blueberries, without being overly exuberant and very elegant. Juicy, but with beautiful tannin firmness and balanced acidity, quite expressive, ample, vibrant, full of flavor.
