Quinta da Vacaria Reserva Red

A wine with an intense and bright red color. Aromas of red fruits, with notes of spices imparted by the wood. Rich flavor, with juicy tannins well present, where Touriga Nacional offers elegance, along with the fruity notes of Touriga Franca, and volume provided by Tinta Roriz, finishing persistent and flavorful.

Quinta da Vacaria, one of the oldest estates in the region (the first record dates back to 1616), is located on the banks of the Douro River near the city of Régua, in the heart of the world's oldest demarcated wine region, the Douro. At the estate's quay, Rabelo boats docked to load casks filled with Port wine and transport them to Gaia, at the mouth of the river, where they were sold in bulk worldwide, leaving behind a hidden identity since these wooden casks were not even marked with the producer's seal. At their destination, the wine was bottled and labeled with the brand of the foreign merchants who acquired it, some of whom gained considerable prestige.
