Beautiful amber color with slight reddish nuances, typical of a very old Tawny, this 50-year-old Port reveals refined notes of noble oak barrels, varnish, cedar leaf and nutmeg on the nose, in a combination that reveals a certain citrus and freshness. On the palate it demonstrates a firm structure, harmoniously combined with a wide spectrum of flavors of dried fruit and licorice, in a very long and persistent finish.

Winemaking:
The Quinta das Carvalhas Tawny Ports with indicated age are blends made from the Quinta's vast collection of old Port wines, aged in the cellars of Vila Nova de Gaia. This 50-year-old Port blend was created from a careful selection of wines from the 1970s, 1960s and a small part from the 1920s, aged in the finest oak casks.
