Delicate and fragrant, it strongly features floral notes, peach, and some orange. Light and harmonious on the palate, it is beautiful and showcases plenty of white fruit; a well-balanced wine.
Winemaking:
The winemaking took place at the Quinta de Azevedo winery. Upon arrival, the grapes were carefully handled and gently destemmed to fully preserve their character. The must was channeled under temperature control and protected from oxidation by the use of inert gases. This was followed by gentle crushing in a pneumatic press with some pre-fermentation maceration. Alcoholic fermentation occurred at temperatures between 16ºC-18ºC. During maceration, approximately 40% of the batch fermented in contact with the grape skins. This wine aged in stainless steel tanks with "bâtonnage" (stirring of the lees) for 3 months. Partial aging of 6 to 8 months in oak barrels followed by 6 months of bottle aging.
