Quinta de Baixo Niepoort Merlot red wine is a polished regional wine from Bairrada, very harmonious and perfect for traditional dishes.
Quinta de Baixo Niepoort Merlot is a regional red wine from Bairrada characterized by its medium-intensity garnet color. On the nose, the Niepoort Merlot from Quinta de Baixo is distinguished by its classic aroma of red fruits, forest aromas, and very delicate leather notes. The barrel nuances are perfectly integrated, giving aromatic complexity to this elegant yet rustic wine. On the palate, it is a firm and intense wine, showing a good balance between tannins and acidity. The finish is long, quite mineral, with freshness and persistence.
The long aging process in the bottle has allowed the wine to develop a polished, very harmonious character, perfect for pairing with traditional dishes.
The Quinta de Baixo Niepoort Merlot fermented in a traditional lagar (traditional stone trough) and aged in French oak barrels for 20 months.
