Quinta dos Carvalhais Colheita Tinto

Vinification:
Upon arrival at the Quinta dos Carvalhais cellar, the grapes, separated by varieties, were deceived and gently crushed, being severity to automatic stainless steel fermentation vats with controlled temperature. Here, the must fermented for about 8 days, with reassembly for gentle extraction of the pills and compounds of the film. After alcoholic fermentation, the wine is transferred to stainless steel tanks where malo -fermentation occurs. The maturation in French and American oak barrels took place over a period of 12 months. The final lot was prepared after this ripening period, followed by collage, filtration and traffic jam.

TEST NOTES:
It has a ruby ​​tone of end intensity. With a complex bouquet, the delicate presence of floral and black tea notes, both characteristics of national Touriga, combine with notes of fresh red fruits, with emphasis on raspberry and currant, wild shrubs (giesta) and menthol. It has subtle and well -integrated oak grades, contributing to the richness of the taste. It is a well -structured wine with firm tannins, lived acidity and balanced final.

Storage advice and serve:
As with all the good reds of Dão, this wine has excellent aging potential and is in excellent consumption conditions up to 10 years after harvesting. The bottle should be kept horizontally in a cool, dry place. Must be served between 16ºC-18ºC. Once opened, the bottle should be consumed on the day, although it remains in good condition if it is well listed, preferably with some vacuum.
