TASTING NOTES Clear, bright straw yellow color. The aroma is complex and intense, highlighting white fruit with pulp, a light tropical vegetal note and hints of toast. On the palate, it reveals a great balance between acidity and volume, making the wine ample and vibrant. Concrete in its fruitiness, it confirms the impressions obtained via the nose, combining almond notes. Its finish is long and unctuous, enveloping the aromatic notes.
VINEYARD The vineyards of Quinta de Pancas are located in a series of hills and valleys, protected by the Serra de Montejunto mountain range. The soils are neutral clay-limestone with a fine texture. The climate is Mediterranean with Atlantic influence. The grapes that gave rise to this wine come from Plot 34 (15-year-old vines). This vineyard is situated on a hilltop with excellent sun exposure facing the Serra do Montejunto at an average altitude of 200 meters.
VINIFICATION The grapes were hand-picked on August 28th and pressed directly without destemming or crushing. They were decanted for 2 days at a low temperature and then fermented at 14ºC. Fermentation finished in used French oak barrels, where they aged for 9 months, partially with battonage.
