Description
The Quinta do Gradil Syrah, aged for 9 months in French oak barrels, has become very expressive, with intense aromas of forest berries, punctuated with chemical notes and a touch of minerality. Elegant on the palate, it reveals harmony between the fruit and the evident, yet well-integrated tannins.
Quinta do Gradil has been referenced in the history of Portuguese wines since 1492. However, it was only in the 17th century that vineyards and wine became part of the property's economic activity. But it was in the 19th century that one of the most decisive moments occurred, when Dona Maria do Carmo Romeiro da Fonseca inherited Quinta do Gradil from her father, transforming it into a leading agricultural business, focusing on wine production. Many years have passed and Quinta do Gradil continues to be a Portuguese benchmark in the world, now led by Luís Vieira.
