Quinta do Sobral, a family project of Cristina Simões and Jorge Loureiro, is located in the heart of the Dão wine region, in Vila de Santar, a historical heritage site of the region. Here, the tradition of planting vines in poor granite soils, nestled among pine forests, is maintained, as is the cultivation of the traditional grape varieties that define the wines of this property, which contains approximately 15 hectares of vineyards.

Hand-harvested in 18kg boxes, with careful selection of the best grapes from the vineyard. The grapes were picked exclusively by grandfather Nelson and granddaughter Maria Simões. The grapes were fully destemmed and immediately pressed. This wine aged for 6 months in new French oak barrels. It presents a vibrant, crystalline yellow color. The first aroma is well-integrated oak notes. The wine has white stone fruits such as apricot and peach, reminiscent of the great wines of the Dão region. Citrus fruits add some freshness to the nose. It has a pleasant breadth and a large volume on the palate that accompanies the tasting from beginning to end. It is a wine with some bitterness at the finish, characteristic of gastronomic wines that pair very well with food. It has a long and persistent finish.
