VINIFICATION AND AGING: Hand-harvested into small perforated crates. Reception with destemming and immediate crushing. Fermentation in stainless steel vats, with maceration at a controlled temperature of around 23ºC. Prolonged maceration and malolactic fermentation in oak barrels.

Aging: 12 months in French and American oak wood.

TASTING NOTES: At Quinta do Sobreiró de Cima, we select the best grapes from the Touriga Nacional, Trincadeira, and Bastardo varieties to create our Grande Reserva red wine. Deep ruby ​​in color, this wine reveals the great character of the red wines of Trás-os-Montes, through its concentration and aging potential. With a complex and rich aroma of ripe black fruits, we sense a touch of spices and liqueurs, harmonized by aging in French oak barrels for 24 months. On the palate, the intensity of the black fruits is balanced by aging, with fine tannins and a long, persistent finish. Our Grande Reserva is a more full-bodied wine, whose aging has conferred greater complexity and balance.
