Description
The nose has ripe fruit of abundant beauty, on the palate soft ripe plum, firm tannins and slightly spicy notes. As for the color, we let it stand out in a white glass bottle.
Winemaking:
To showcase the Transmontane people who have marked regional, national, or world history, at Quinta do Sobreiró de Cima we use the different facets of the Tinta Roriz grape variety, also known as Tempranillo, Aragonês, Abundante, Cencibel, Tinto del País, Ull de Lebre, Tinto Fino, and Tinta de Toro – a grape variety that, due to its high value, has also conquered the world. We did so in a distinctive way, making three very different wines from the same grapes. The Tinta Roriz Tinto was fermented with the must, with minimal extraction. Fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats was followed by 3 months of aging in used barrels with fine lees, to make them smoother and more gastronomic.
