Aromas of Mediterranean wood, resin, rosemary, and hints of eucalyptus. Luxurious on the palate with delicious flavors of wild berries, blackcurrant, and licorice. Voluminous and muscular, the spicy tannins give the wine a beautiful structure.
Winemaking:
Quinta do Vesuvio is indisputably the most magnificent estate in the Douro Valley. Located in the beautiful and austere Port wine-producing region of the Upper Douro Valley, its history dates back to the 16th century. All grapes are harvested by hand, with meticulous selection. Vesuvio is one of the very few Douro estates where all wines are produced using the traditional method of foot treading in granite lagares, among the largest in the Douro Valley, and offered exclusively as a single Quinta Vintage Port. Classic and monumental wines with a fabulous, rich fruit character.
