Quinta dos Murças Reserva originates from the oldest vineyards on the estate, situated between 150m and 280m altitude, with a western exposure. This is the classic version of estate wines where the terroir gives rise to wines of great elegance and aging potential.

The winter was very rainy, the spring very cold, which delayed the entire vegetative cycle. The summer, on the other hand, was hot and dry, which allowed for catching up and accelerating ripening, resulting in grapes with good concentration, acidity and aromas. The harvest began on September 6th and ended on October 7th.

VINIFICATION / AGING: Hand-harvested, sorting table, destemming, crushing, alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts at controlled temperatures (25º to 28ºC) in granite lagares using foot treading and pressing in an old vertical press. Aged in used French oak barrels for 12 months.

COLOR: Intense and deep.

AROMA: Complex, fresh and elegant aroma, dominated by black fruits, balsamic aromas such as rockrose, and notes of spices from its aging in barrels.

PALATE: Firm and concentrated, with a well-present and balanced acidity, it has ripe and well-integrated tannins. It presents a long and persistent finish, dominated by fruit notes, where its balance and elegance stand out.
