The Quinta dos Murças VV47 2017 comes from a historic vineyard, the oldest vertical vineyard in the Douro, planted in 1947, with a southeast exposure and a 40% slope. It translates the maximum expression of our terroir and its potential, which is characterized by its elegance, harmony and complexity. Winemaking of Quinta dos Murças VV47 2017: Manual harvest, sorting table, destemming, crushing, alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts at controlled temperatures (25º to 28ºC), in granite lagares using foot treading and pressing in an old vertical press. Aging: In used French oak barrels for approximately 12 months.
Aroma
Very complex and intense, dominated by ripe red fruits and balsamic aromas characteristic of older vines.
Flavor
Characterized by great harmony and elegance, it features very fine, ripe tannins and balanced acidity. It has a very long and persistent finish which, as a whole, suggests great longevity.
Color
Intense and deep, with violet hues.
