Plot 28, planted with the Tinta Roriz grape variety, is situated at an altitude between 205 and 210 meters. This grape variety demonstrates the challenge of winemaking and the human persistence in preserving an ancient and authentic Douro. The austerity of the grape is noticeable on the palate, but at the same time, we are seduced by a somewhat contemporary sophistication which, combined with the century-old vine (Plot 21), gives rise to a blend that reveals a benchmark in the Portuguese grape variety. Douro, a wine full of minerality, blue fruits, rich in spice notes with a firm structure and a very narrow palate. The high concentration, density and depth express its origin very well.
Winemaking:
100% destemmed. Aged for 12 months in new French oak barrels.
