Ramos Pinto Urtiga Red

Bright purple color, with living red reflexes, has a deep and fresh aroma. Then, very elegantly, a huge aromatic variety arises: forest, wet earth, red fruits and a mineral sensation of rock. Then come spices, such as green pepper and cloves. In the mouth it is super elegant, silky with strawberries and cherry gaining prominence. Long end and structured with mature tannins and extraordinary freshness and liveliness.

Vinification:
The grapes arrive at the cellar carried in small boxes, being sorted, after which they are deceived, crushed and sent to the granite plane, where they are stepped on foot. The crushing is done in a traditional way. The end of alcoholic and malo -fermentation is made without films, in French Carvalho. The wine ages 16 months in wood, 90% in small volume barrels and 10% in new French oak barrels. The expression of this vineyard is enhanced by the barrel stage, and barrel allows to balance and tune all dimensions. After bottling, it ages in bottle for 2 years.
