Roquete and Cazes Tinto

  Very dark core with violet halo/bright purple. Aroma to fresh wild fruits and violets, with soft toasted from the stage in wood, evoking cocoa. Full -bodied, refreshing acidity, black fruits and silky and round tannins that complement the structure of wine. Very long and complex, with true elegance.

Vinification:
The grapes come from two vineyards located at different points of the Douro Valley: the Come Corgo and the Upper Douro. The varieties of grapes are planted separately. The harvest occurred at a great stage of maturity. The grapes were transported to the Quinta do Crasto cellar in boxes of 25 kg. After a rigorous selection, they were deceived and the grapes were crushed and transferred to conical stainless vaults. There was a long period of maceration in “Delestage”, an alternative French technique to the classic reassembly method. 18 -month internship in French oak barrels (70% new, 30% a year of use).
