Description:
Sandeman Sherry Don Fino Superior Fino, a premium Fino Sherry, is a delicate and dry white wine. Produced from Palomino grapes grown in Sandeman's own vineyards, located in the best areas of the Jerez demarcated region, the wine matures in a Solera, under "flor" (a veil of yeast) for a minimum of five years.
All Sherry wines come from the Sherry Triangle, a protected region in southern Spain encompassing Jerez de la Frontera, Sanlúcar de Barrameda, and El Puerto de Santa María. Only vines with a lifespan of 30 years or more survive in this location, where temperatures typically reach 38°C (100°F). The vines grow in albariza soil, composed of 80% chalk, the best medium for cultivating grapes for Finos: the palest, lightest, and driest of the sherries.
Pale straw yellow color with green and gold hues. Bright and clear, with a very pungent aromatic scent, influenced by its ripening in the "flower" stage. On the palate it is light, fresh and delicate, with a dry and crisp finish.
